All clients are required to complete & sign a Declaration & Consent form. Client records are maintained in compliance with Data Protection Act. The help me to provide a service tailored to you & your pet's requirements. Please advise me of any changes so that I can update your pet's record. Your data is confidential. It will not be disclosed to or shared with any 3rd party.

It is understood that your dog will be fit and healthy to be groomed. Grooming can pose underlying health conditions that we can’t be held responsible for.

It is important that dogs are up to date with vaccinations. An unvaccinated dog is at risk of infections and diseases.

HUMANE DE-MATTING & HUMANE MATTING RELEASE

Humane de-matting may be suitable for localised matting . It will be considered solely at my discretion & for a maximum of 15 minutes. You will be advised in advance if this is necessary.

More severe, tighter or closer matting cannot be groomed out or de-matted. You will be advised in advance if this is necessary.

The matted coat will be clipped or shaved off with as short a blade as is necessary to remove it. The procedure is not without risk.

Magic Paws dog grooming will not be held liable for any post - grooming effects. Shaving off a dogs coat due to matting will dramatically change their appearance. The hair will be very short and close to the skin. Your written permission will be required to carry this out and pre-exiting conditions can be exposed. An additional fee is charged for this £10. This does not cover the cost of the additional time required and damage t equipment however Magic Paws works under section 9 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and or main concern is the health of your dog. If your dog returns on further appointments with matting you will be charged £8 for every 15 minutes over the usual grooming time.

GROOMING FEEDBACK

You will be given feedback after every groom. If you have queries, need clarification or want further information, please ask or contact me. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pet's groom, please tell me within 24 hours of your appointment. Reasonable requests to alter the trim will be dealt with as soon as possible or changes noted for the next groom.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Your pet may be photographed before, during or after its groom. Photographs may be used in Magic Paws marketing media or materials.

AGGRESSIVE & POORLY SOCIALISED DOGS:

Dog owners are held criminally responsible where a dog is found to be dangerously out of control in any place. You will have been asked if your dog has ever bitten or displayed aggression. If your dog is accepted for grooming & displays aggression during its session, its appointment will be terminated immediately & you will be contacted to collect it. The full base price of the appointment will be levied. If your dog has a tendency to be badly behaved or aggressive, we would appreciate being informed in advance as more time may have to be allocated, which may result in an extra charge of £10.00.

TIME KEEPING

Please be punctual. I operate an appointment-only service, grooming on a one-to-one basis on a pre - determined, pre-scheduled routine. If you are more than 15 minutes late your appointment will be moved and you will be required to pay the grooming cost.

We also require ones to be on time for collection. If you are late we will have to cancel our next customer as we are not able to offer a dog sitting service. You will be charged for any appointments that we need to cancel.

CANCELLING YOUR DOG'S APPOINTMENT

I respectfully request 24 hours / 1 day notice of cancellation. This gives me an opportunity to re-sell the slot you booked. Late cancellations & no-shows are lost income and you will be charged the cost of the groom.
